About the event
Every year firefighters, nurses, council members, burn survivors and their families come out to a busy street corner on Black Friday to raise money for burn survivors. It's incredibly special to see the generosity of the community and see so many people come together for this fundraiser. Anyone and everyone is welcome! We look forward to seeing y'all at this event.

Annual Events
Charity Burn Gala
The Charity Burn Gala is a night where attendees dress up in their finest attire for an evening where we honor several burn survivors, VMC burn unit staff, and council members who have contributed to burn care. The event includes both a raffle and silent auction full of items donated by community members and San Jose Fire stations. This event is usually hosted in March with tickets going on sale around Christmas. Every year we sell out, so get your tickets early!
Burn Camp
Burn Camp is a 3-day multi-location event! We host survivors age 3-18 for 3 days at Camp Campbell and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

First Responder Night: Sharks Game
On this fun night, the San Jose Sharks host a first responder night where they celebrate first responders. We offer a special ticketing package which allows you access to our pre-party celebration held at the San Jose Fire Museum, the San Jose Fire Sharks Game, and the after-party hosted at a local restaurant. We sell out of tickets to this event every year, so don't miss out on your chance to have a fun-filled night with the family at the SAP center.
Fill the boot
Every year on Black Friday firefighters throughout the Bay Area come out and hold signs on busy street corners to raise money for burn survivors. This event is especially special because all the participants are volunteers and every dollar goes towards burn survivors. This is one of our biggest events of the year. The generosity of the community is beautiful to witness and we love getting to see firefighters from other areas come out to support!
